The further development of possibilities for human-machine collaboration is currently one of the central research topics in Germany and Europe. The goal of these approaches is, among other things, to design manufacturing processes that are as efficient and ergonomic as possible, in which both actors (man and machine) can each utilize their strengths.<\/p>

In the \"AnDy\" research project, technologies are being developed to improve interaction between humans and machines by perceiving or anticipating the movement behavior of both actors. In the first step, a suit is being developed to record human movements and action forces. The analysis and evaluation of this information will later be used to control three collaborative technologies in three use cases: (1) cobots, i.e. collaborative robots to handle heavy production tasks; (2) exoskeletons to support the human physique; (3) humanoid robots used to support elderly or ability-impaired people in manufacturing or household tasks.<\/p>

The task of imk automotive GmbH in the project is the development of ergonomic movement and collaboration models based on the recorded movements. Furthermore, we contribute our diverse practical experience in the ergonomic design of manufacturing assistance systems and coordinate the project activities for the dissemination and exploitation of the research results (Dissemination & Exploitation).<\/p>
