Insight into the field

One subtask in the area of digital work planning is to ensure ergonomic workplaces and processes. An important aspect of ergonomic consideration is not only a corrective consideration of workloads, but also the prospective inclusion of ergonomics and derivation of improvement measures in the planning of new work systems. Using our ema Work Designer, it is possible to carry out visual and feasibility analyses as well as an assessment of physical loads (e.g. with the EAWS® ergonomics assessment procedure) in advance. I find it particularly exciting to work with our customers and their employees from production and the specialist departments to develop individual solutions on site and in the digital model.
Thomas Fox
Ergonomics
In 2014, I started at imk as an Human Factors Engineer/Ergonomist and now coordinate the ergonomics projects. My tasks include, among others, the preparation of quotations, deployment planning and project management. I am also operationally involved in projects. My work is therefore very varied. The goal in our projects is clear: The best possible ergonomic design! We use a wide variety of methods to assess this, on the basis of which we draw up scientifically sound design recommendations. It feels great when your own work contributes to the health of others!
