Project content

Active in high-tech projects since 2002, imk Industrial Intelligence GmbH (until 2021 imk automotive GmbH) is one of the leading experts for production planning, ergonomics consulting and software development in the context of the digital factory. For our customers all over the world, we develop innovative Product concepts, efficient manufacturing processes, sustainable ergonomic solutions as well as modern methods and innovative solutions for holistic factory and production management. material flow planning through to virtual production and assembly planning and workplace design. We also offer individually tailored workshops, interactive on-the-job training courses on digital work planning and ergonomics fundamentals, LEAN and value stream mapping as well as virtual production planning and the Digital Mock-Up.

With the project described above, we want to further expand our market position in the field of digital work design and optimization. To this end, the software ema Software Suite for the human-centered planning of products and processes and to expand the range of services to include innovative consulting and training concepts. Overall, with the help of new functionalities and offers, we want to increase license sales for the ema software suite. The megatrend towards digitalization supports this path, but there is still great potential to be tapped in many companies. This requires close cooperation with the end users in order to successively develop the practical requirements and implement them in the software. In addition we need more expertise in the field of usability engineering, which the new role will establish in the long term.

Targets

  1. Improvement and expansion of simulation options with ema Software Suite software through the use of VR and related (AR/MR) technologies

  2. Improvement and expansion of planning methods for digital planning and design of efficient, sustainable and ergonomic workplaces and processes using the ema Software Suite and VR software

  3. Development of new concepts and use cases in conjunction with VR for holistic 3D production planning in various planning phases through to the training of new employees with specific VR functionalities.
